The Mt. Washington Century ride is fast becoming known as the Most Challenging Century in the Northeast tm We have mountain passes that thrill the eye and challenge the soul. For those wanting to 'test their personal best', the Mt. Washington Century Ride is it!

No landscape rivals the natural beauty of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range, and a Century Ride through three notches and around the base of New England's tallest mountain is without equal. The 100-mile route for Tin Mountain Conservation Center's Annual Mt. Washington Century Ride travels through fragrant spruce-fir and majestic northern hardwood forests, across pastoral farm fields, along sparkling streams with stunning views of the alpine peaks in the Range. Abbreviated 40- and 80-mile routes provide wonderful rides for those wanting a little less than a Century.

EVENT - The Century ride around the base of Mt. Washington is via the NH Scenic Byway/Presidential Range Tour route that offers spectacular mountain views and tranquil New England pastoral scenery. The Century is completely supported with five aid stations along the 100-mile course (three on the 80-mile and two on the 40-mile), support vehicles with ham radio operators, two on-duty EMTs, and a bike repair support van (Red Jersey Cyclery).

All riders receive an event Tshirt and the FUNDRAISER who collects the most pledges wins a fantastic prize and all riders have a chance to win a variety of door prizes. A fabulous meal awaits returning riders at the Nature Learning Center, where they can also relax in the library, stroll on the 138-acre sanctuary, or tour the beautiful "green" facility built with local materials and craftsmanship and boasting of solar heat and electricity.

Charity Century rides are probably the most popular cycling events of the new millennium and can be as challenging or tranquil as the rider chooses; however, they are always fun and rewarding for all involved.

The annual Mt. Washington Century Ride leaves from Tin Mountain's Nature Learning Center in Albany, NH between 6 and 8 AM.

The 100-mile route around Mt. Washington leaves the Albany/Conway area on the Kancamagus Highway, over Bear Notch Road to Bartlett, follows Rt 302 through Crawford Notch to Rt 115 in Twin Mountain, along Rt 115 to Rt 2 past Jefferson Notch and into Gorham before heading south on Rt 16 past the Mt. Washington Auto Road and over Pinkham Notch. From Pinkham Notch the route drops into Glen and back to the Conway area via Rt 16 and the scenic West Side Road.

The Mt. Washington Century continues to grow in popularity, with participants from as far away as the west coast taking part. Riders are always pleased with the route and support received. Many have ridden in every Mt. Washington Century Ride since the inception in 2001.

REFUND/EXCHANGE POLICY - NO REFUNDS AFTER June 16, 2011. Riders that have registered for the Century may not trade, sell, or exchange their registration with anyone else without the expressed permission of Tin Mountain Conservation Center.
