2009 Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb and Newton's Revenge Registration Information

NEW FOR 2009 - ON LINE Registration Date and Time.

MWARBH Registration will open on Sunday, February 1, 2009 8:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) 2009 Registration fee is $350.00.

You will be able to register through this site by clicking on a button that will appear on regisration day or through www.bikereg.com.

If you have not used Bikereg in the past you should take the time now to set up your profile. Go to the Bikereg web site, on the left click New Member Sign Up. If you have an existing profile with Bikereg but your address, email etc. have changed go to the Bikereg web site, click on Update Profile.

Registration for the MWARBH is on line only and first come first serve bases for limited field of 600 racers.

Once the MWARBH sells out registration for Newton's Revenge will open. Visit the web site at www.newtonsrevenge.com or via www.bikereg.com. Newton's Revenge will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009. Registration fee for Newton's Revenge is $300.00.

THE PRACTICE RIDE IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

Newton's Revenge will open after the Hillclimb sells out.

This race mirrors the MWARBH. If you need or want to race Mt. Washington Auto Road Newton's Revenge is your only option.

Refund and Exchange Policy

DISCLAIMER Tin Mountain Conservation Center reserves the exclusive right to determine who will participate in the Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb.

RACE DAY DISCLAIMER - We will delay the start time, postpone or cancel the race if the following conditions are reported on the road or summit on the morning of race day : ICE, SNOW, VERY HIGH WINDS or HARD DRIVING RAIN. We will stop the race if conditions are deemed unsafe for the riders in the race. We will not cancel the race for "uncomfortable" conditions. You are participating in a race where the venue, Mt. Washington, is noted for having very challenging weather conditions, please come prepared for the weather.

If weather should cause cancellation both days, your entry fee will be graciously accepted as a donation to Tin Mountain. Sorry,there will be NO REFUNDS.

REGISTRATION DISCLAIMER - Refund and Exchange Policy for the Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb Refunds will only processed after the Hillclimb registration has closed and to the extent that there exists eligible replacements on the wait list. All refunds will be processed at the entry fee level less $50.00 service fee. Exchanges will not be processed after July 1st. 2009 and No refunds will be given after June 1st, 2009.

In the event of cancellation a non supported ride will be available. Choose between 40 miles or 80 miles. See race officials for directions.

Lunch will not be cancelled; all racers are encouraged to stay for lunch. We will serve lunch between 11:45 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. Plan your time accordingly.

Riders that have registered for the Hillclimb may not trade, sell, or exchange their registration with anyone else without the expressed permission of TMCC.

Please make sure you understand our Disclaimers and Policy's before you register for this event. There will be NO exceptions.

We will move the race to the Weather Date if the following conditions are reported on the road and summit the morning of race day - ICE, SNOW, VERY HIGH WINDS and HARD DRIVING RAIN. We will stop the race if conditions are deemed unsafe for the riders in the race or cars heading down. We will not cancel the race for "uncomfortable" conditions. Your are participating in a race where the venue is note for having the most challenging weather conditions - Mt. Washington. If weather should cause cancellation both days, your entry fee will be graciously accepted as a donation to Tin Mountain. Sorry, NO REFUNDS.

2009 RACE NEWS

Greetings from Mary, Amy and TMCC,

Preparations have begun for the 37th annual Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb. With a successful year of racing Mount Washington we will keep last years changes in place. And add a few new changes to this year. 1. New Race Day Schedule - starting 1 hour later. The Auto Road will open to UPBOUND race related traffic at 6:15 a.m. Your drivers will love this!

NEW TIMES FOR WAVES The first wave - Top Notch will start the race at 8:35 a.m

2nd group (20-34),(35-39) 8:40 a.m.

3rd group 40-44 8:45 a.m.

4th group 1st half - 45 +, Tandems, Jrs. 8:50 a.m.

5th group 2nd half - 45 +, Tandems, Jrs. 8:55 a.m.

If we are forced to cancel - a non-supported 40 mile or 80 mile ride will be available. Lunch will not be cancelled. It will be served under the tent from 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

With February 1st just around the corner please make sure you are aware of all changes for the 2009 race and are aware of the cancellation policy.

Registration is limited to 600 racers Entry fee is $350.00 per person

Registration opens on Sunday, February 1 at 8:00 a.m. There will be a counter on the registration page so you will be able to see the number of people that have registered.

Once the MWARBH sells out a Wait List will be available. Registration for the wait list will be on line at www.bikereg.com. When planning your summer race schedule, consider Newton's Revenge on July 11. Register on line at www.newtonsrevenge.com

The Practice Ride will not be open to the general public. The Practice Ride is reserved for those that have registered for the race. A few days after the Hillclimb sells out, registered participants will receive Practice Ride registration instructions via email. The Practice Ride is limited to 300 riders.

Please understand you are considering participating in a race where the venue is Mount Washington, which is noted for having very challenging weather conditions.
